Hi,

I’m Maxine

I’m passionate about empowering people to feel at home in their bodies.  I take a holistic approach to health and happiness, with my roots in Tantra, somatic theory and transformational coaching.

My Education…

I’m a certified Somatic Sex Educator and Sexological Bodyworker, with much of the last 10 years spent working with individuals and couples. I’ve trained with many incredible coaches and bodyworker from around the world and have a deep passion for lifelong learning.

I’m a graduated ontological life coach with an ICF certified program, became certified in Conscious Sensuality and currently a student in my 2nd year of study with Somatic Experiencing International.

My Story…

My passion for my work comes from my own history of battling disembodiment.  In my early 20’s I struggled with chronic dysregulation as a highly sensitive person.  This led to a long bout of using drugs, alcoholic and codependent relationships to cope with the inescapable sense of overwhelm.

Coming out of chronic patterns of dissociation was a long haul.  In much of the early days I was in chronic freeze, isolated, and felt strongly that I has to pull myself up by my bootstraps to heal myself.  My journey became exponentially easier when I finally called in support and stopped trying to do it all on my own.

Having transformative experiences in the realm of sexuality called me onto my path as an educator and a bodyworker.   Working with erotic energy gave me a touchstone for releasing my body’s patterns of intergenerational trauma and orienting back to pleasure.  Studying Tantra (Through initially neotantra communities and now lineage based practice) has allowed me to put many of these transformative experiences into context.

In 2020 I was diagnosed with cervical dysplasia and scheduled in for a routine LEEP procedure.  This triggered an awareness of my own past sexual trauma, trauma which I previously believed I had been unaffected by.  This experience called me to spend time reallyyy slowing and deepening my listening skills around my body’s pace.

During my healing of this procedure I had many tools that were total game changers – Practices like genital de-armouring, self massage and asking for many sacred pauses with my partners, practitioners and teachers.  I’m grateful for these tools, they have informed the education and somatic practices I use with my clients.  I’m deeply passionate in supporting others to dearmour their pleasure and heal from adverse sexual experiences.

It’s been a wild journey that’s a testament to personal discovery, resilience and and the magic of healing through the body’s wisdom.  I have a continued commitment to personal growth and supportive community building that have been the foundation of my practice

Studio Space

The Space

For my in-person sessions that invite work to expand on tools of consent and co-regulation.  My loft studio is an oasis in the heart of Victoria.  Here I support clients using tools of Somatic Sex Education – Including breath, sound and client directed touch.  It’s equipped with a deluxe memory foam massage table, consultation area, bathroom and many other loving details to create a welcoming atmosphere.

My studio is a three story walk up and is not wheelchair accessible at this time.   If you have mobility challenges please let me know, there’s many ways we can explore working together through an online format.
